During a thigh lift operation the skin will be starched and the excess removed. method of The incision is placed around the upper thigh or under the fold of the buttock, this allows for the least visible scarring after a thigh lift. Many thigh lift operation somes are carried out along with some liposuction on the thighs, thus thinning the thigh area even more than a thigh lift alone The operation is carried out under a general anesthetic, you will be required to stay overnight in hospital as movement will be minimal initially. After your thigh lift operation you will be required to wear a supporting garment to ensure a smooth result.

As with all cosmetic procedures there is some risk. The main risks of a thigh lift operation are swelling, bruising, bleeding, infection and scarring. The main problems after a thigh lift depend on which parts of the thigh are lifted but some of the msot common for this operation are the long and sometimes heavy scar and contour abnormalities, usually depression.

The recovery after a thigh lift takes one to two weeks. Most patients are back to work within two to four weeks.

After your thigh lift, the thighs will be thinner and firmer. Thigh lifts are sometimes permanent, but the effect may be reversed as you get older or if you put on weight.
